Some brands link they’re software thorugh a dongle to the interface so that you can’t use they’re software with third party hardware. You can also get a combination of mixer and integrated interface as a digital DJ set. The mixers are very expensive though – in fact more expensive than the software and the digital DJ interface bought seperate so you can’t expect to save costs by bying the integrated solution.
